Maggie’s Staff

MELC employs skilled and qualified educators that possess post-secondary Early Childcare Education certification at levels I, II, III. Equivalent post-secondary education in child-related areas such as child development and education is assessed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education.

The Centre strives to employ personnel of diverse age, race, ethnicity, religion and culture to promote a diverse workplace. This diversity policy aims to provide a childcare environment which is free from bias and prejudice in which children learn the principles of fairness and respect for the uniqueness of each person.

Board of Directors

The Centre is governed by a parent based board of directors. Parents interested in becoming part of the board to contribute actively and positively to the growth of our non-profit, licensed Centre are encouraged to review the ‘roles and responsibilities of the Board’ and to self-identify on the membership form for consideration as vacancies are to be filled. New board directors will be required to sign an ‘oath of confidentiality and a conflict of interest declaration’ prior to taking on their duties. New board directors will be provided with training regarding their governance / financial roles and responsibilities from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education. The Centre holds an annual general meeting in the Fall to review its accomplishments and financial statement from the previous fiscal year with its stakeholders.
