Irma Grandón
Executive Director

I have a Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master in Language Development. I am very proud of my work with Maggie’s Early Learning Centre Inc.
As the Executive Director and under my leadership, the Centre has been recognized nationally for our ability to serve the needs of young families in Saskatchewan. In 1989 the work of the Centre was featured at the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child.

I have also contributed to the Child Care community through work in related positions such as the following: Assistant Director and Director at Saskatchewan Polytechnic (former SIAST Kelsey Campus) Child Care Centre, Community Program Consultant for the Early Learning and Child Care - Ministry of Education with the Government of Saskatchewan, Coordinator for the Early Childhood Program at the Gabriel Dumont Institute, Supervisor for the YWCA of the Child Care Services and a member of the Saskatchewan team supervising the preparation of History of Child Care in Saskatchewan.

Awards and Recognition:

YWCA-Woman of Distinction Award in the area of Leadership in the Workplace in 1996.

Presented with the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal in 2005

Certificate of Appreciation-Public Health Agency of Canada, 2006- for supporting Canadian children and their families to achieve their full potential

Nominated by Oxfam as one of the 5 International Women recognized at the International Women’s Day celebration at the Saskatoon Indian & Metis Friendship Center in 2010

2011 - nominated as Saskatoon Preschool Foundation “Champion of Children”

May 2015, I attended a Study Group - The Reggio Emilia Approach to Education at the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre - Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Irma has two children (Sergio and Gabriela) and also has a 12 year old grandchild (Elena).

Jaskiranjeet Sran

Hi, I am Jaskiranjeet Sran. I have a Bachelor of Nursing from BFUHS University of India.
I have earned Early Childhood Education Level II from the Ministry of Education, Saskatchewan.
I have also earned several other certificates including Hygiene Maintenance Certificate from INSCOL Academy, Canada.
I am very proud to be working at Maggie's Early Learning Centre.

Marcela Navarro
Early Childhood Educator/Cook

Hello, my name is Marcela Navarro, I am from Chile.
I studied Early Childhood Education in my native country, where I worked with children under two years old for fourteen years.
I have applied for Certification from the Ministry of Education.
Working at Maggie's Early Learning Centre, has been very rewarding and I feel very happy to be doing what I love.

Mayranush Harutyunyan
Early Childhood Educator- A.D

I am Mayranush Harutyunyan from Armenia.
I have a Master of Education - Speech and Language Pathology and Hearing Impairment from The Armenian State Pedagogical University.
I have an Elementary School Teacher's Certificate given by the Ministry of Education, Armenia. Also, I have a Civil Servant Certificate.
In Armenia I worked as a Speech Language Therapist at a Kindergarten classroom.
Prior to working at Maggie's Early Learning Centre Inc. I worked as a volunteer at Queen Elizabeth School in Saskatoon.
I am presently working on my Early Childhood Education Level III
I am excited to work at Maggie's Early Learning Centre as an Early Childhood Educator and as the Assistant Director.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing, loving environment where children can learn and experience new challenges.

Michelle Almen
Early Childhood Educator/ EA

I am Michelle del Mundo Almen
I was born in the Philippines but I grew up in Tokyo Japan.
For me HAPPINESS IS BEING SURROUNDED BY CHILDREN
I have an Early Childhood Education Level III from the Ministry of Education Saskatchewan and a Child Development Supervisor Certificate from Alberta Child Care Licencing Regulation. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Philippine Christian University and a Diploma in Business Administration from Academy of Learning Career College Saskatoon Canada.

Most of my teaching experiences were from Japan where I worked as a Public Teacher under Saitama Board of Education. I have taught Preschoolers for 3 years and 5 years of experience teaching Junior High School and Elementary School.

Working at Maggie’s Early Learning Center Inc. is a great privilege. It offers many opportunities for growth and development and a chance to make a difference.

Nasia Randhawa
Early Childhood Educator

I am Nasia Randhawa, I was born on August 11, 1974, in Faislabad, Pakistan. I have two siblings one older sister and one younger. During my time as a student my favourite subject was history. After completing my education, in 1997 I got married. After spending some amount of time in Pakistan, my family decided to come to Canada. I moved to Canada along with husband and three children in 2011. I volunteered in an elementary school before getting my diploma in Early Childhood Education. In 2016, I started working at Maggie's Early Learning Centre. In my free time I love to cook and spend time with her family.

Rhina Manshadi
Early Childhood Educator

I have a Bachelor of Elementary Education with the Certificate of Qualification in Early Childhood Education Level III that is a confirmation of my Early Childhood Education from Saskatchewan. I have taught Preschool for six years while at the same time passed the LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers), also taught as a Substitute Teacher for Grade I and II for a period of one year.
I was represented as an elected official of the sports for youth organization by the Government of the Philippines which promotes interest for sports to youths and pre-youths.
I am married and have two of my own children: Odessa 11 and Layla 8.
I feel fortunate for given the opportunity to work as an Early Childhood Educator in Maggie's Early Learning Centre. I hope I could be a tangible assistant for growth and development of the children that are in my care.
